
Luke Carrezola

About this speaker
Prior to joining the staff, Carrezola was a Defensive Analyst under Jim Mora at the University of Connecticut in 2022. The Huskies played in the Myrtle Beach Bowl, their first bowl appearance since 2015. Carrezola served as the Defensive Line Graduate Assistant for the Huskies from 2019-21. In that time, he assisted in coaching Travis Jones, who was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
After Carrezola’s playing career at UConn, he played professionally, participating in rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins. From there, he played in the Alliance of American Football (AAF) for the Salt Lake Stallions. The Salt Lake Stallions were coached by College Football Hall of Fame inductee Dennis Erickson.
During his time at UConn, Carrezola was a three-year starter, accumulating 37 career total starts. He was named to the 2017 Football Leadership Council his senior year. Carrezola led the team in tackles for loss in 2015 and 2016 while helping the Huskies reach the St. Petersburg Bowl in 2015.
Carrezola graduated from UConn with a master’s degree in Sport Management and a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
